Just spotted THIS (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300140382100&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=020) on Ebay.
Someone is selling a duped copy of toaster 4.2 software.

Whats worse is his shipping costs!!!

The media mail shipping is reasonable the 3 day is outrageous...

Reported to eBay. One or two more of you should do the same.
-
Priority mail IS 3 day usually... so the 3 day is guaranteed airmail thats why it's expensive.
Who cares... why report a $5 auction.
-
ROFL !!!!!!!!
Amiga Format Coverdisk for the floppy.
-
Yes, let's all report that to Future Publishing!
Cheers,
James

I bought a box of 50 C64 disks, not one of them was original. How else are we to find and save old software before it is lost forever? There were some neat demos on those disks too.

The listing on eBay has been removed. But the impact of distributing an obsolete package version is how much? Especially when the Toaster software has been released as Open Source by NewTek?
From http://www.openvideotoaster.org:
"See Welcome to OpenVideoToaster.Org, the Open Source alternative for your Amiga video editing.
"What is video toaster?
"Todays Video Toaster/VT4, or TriCaster, is a solution for editing, and streaming video on Windows 2000/XP. However, Video Toaster began it's journey on the well known Amiga(tm) platform. The original Video Toaster product was a combination of hardware and software for the editing and production of standard-definition NTSC video on personal computers.
"In 2004 the Amiga version of Video Toaster went 'Open Source', and is now available on this site. The source code is under an open source license, which allows anyone to freely improve upon it. "

Not the entire VT software was released as Open Source. AND, Newtek is still selling the last version of VT/Flyer software for the Amiga, it is v4.3, which is the same as v4.2 with a better install script to allow Lightwave 3.x and 4.x to both be installed. AFAIK.
