Hi,
I bought one of these from Amigakit a while back and have yet to be able to use it. If I install it in a zorro slot in one of the A2000s I have, the machine won't boot. Even a plain machine with no expansion cards just gives me a grey screen and no floppy access. It doesn't matter if I have a drive attached to it or not; just having the card installed is like putting a no-boot dongle in the machine.
Has anyone found a manual for this thing? The one page "instructions" that came with it mention nothing about the jumper on the board or how to use it in the first place. I've generally been happy with Individual products, but this one seems to be a klunker :(

Did you ask Jens for instructions?
Mail him, I'm pretty sure he will give you all answers you need.

Jens always answers if you mail him. He´s really service-minded..
Not like those other big cheese-cake conglomerates..
Sorry.. A little "Friends" relapse.. :-)

Well, this thing is definitely defective. If I attach an IDE disk to it, it polls the drive for a split second, then the floppy light comes on and nothing but a grey screen, no boot. I've tried different ide disks, cdroms, etc. set to master/slave/cable select and tried both the first and second IDE channels...nothing. I am beginning to think the thing may have been installed backwards after consulting with Jens before I bought it from Amigakit. When I first bought it I noticed a couple of the SMT resistors next to a couple of the ICs looked like the solder was really sloppy. I just chalked the appearance up to hand-soldering but now I think this may be evidence the board was installed backwards prior to my purchase and burned up a trace or a chip. I'm going to seek an exchange.
Anyway, I'll put a picture of the defective board showing the SMT resitors in the images section under A2000 hardware.
