Title: GVP G-FOrce 040 Memory (The A3000/4000 version)
Post by: wildstar1063 on August 04, 2007, 06:32:32 AM
I have the GVP G-Force 040 28mhz card, and I can't seem to get it to recognize the 2 megs of ram that came with it.

Is there anyone out there that owns one of these cards that
knows what the jumper settings should be? and in what slots
on the card the ram should be installed in?

Here is the BBoAH link to the card, but it's mostly just a
picture:

The Amiga Hardware Database, also lists an entry, but has
no manual. It did have an install disk, which squirrled
my GyberGrafX installation, so I don't even know what the
software is supposed to do. as I had to remove it.

Also were there two versions of this card? BBoH lists the card at 28mhz, but Amiga hardware database lists it as
28/33 mhz.

Thanks

2 mb ? you mean 2 x 1 mb sticks ? AFAIK, you can't use 1 mb sticks with a G-Force 040. You need either 4 or 16 mb simms. BBoAH has the jumper configrations.

EDIT : Ooops sorry I was talking about the A2000 version.
