Title: Upgrading Blizzard 2040 to 2060 question
Post by: amesie2 on July 31, 2007, 03:19:34 AM
I am thinking of upgrading a Blizzard 2040 to 2060, I can't seem to locate the voltage regulator that I need. I have the CPU and 50MHZ Crystal already.
Does someone have any insight on where to get one? I found a number for the regulator but google doesn't show anything.

The regulator is marked:

Maylay
LT1085
CM-3.3
9531

I can't seem to find a pinout for this chip to see if a sub might work.

Amiga Center can do the job with success and a warranty.

I happened to find some of these regulators on ebay at the following LINK (http://cgi.ebay.com/Adjustable-Voltage-Regulator-LT1085CM-3A-4_W0QQitemZ170132793105QQihZ007QQcategoryZ117000QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem) they come in a pack of 4 for $9.99 plus $3.25 shipping.

Thanx everyone for the input and help on this. I will upgrade the board myself as it won't be too hard to solder the regulator on and change-out the crystal.
