Title: Gas pipeline explosion in Russia

A large mushroom cloud  was seen  beside the city of  St Petersburg in north-west Russia; it turned out to be caused by a gas pipeline accident.  

"This will not affect supplies to Russian or foreign consumers of Russian natural gas in any way" -  Sergei Gustov, head of Gazprom's local subsidiary Peterbuggaz.

A little worrying, considering that the Ruskies are planning yto drag a big pipeline through the Baltic sea...
