Title: Derringer '030 @ 50 MHz and SysInfo 3.24
Post by: hamtronix on July 22, 2007, 02:19:02 AM
I am running SysInfo 3.24 and it is recognizing my CPU as '030  my '882 FPU.

It says that the '030 MMU is not in use. Is this normal? Can I turn it on assuming I have it?

When I run the speed comparison it appears my computer is running at 7 MHz (967 dhrystones). This seems horribly slow. In fact its slower than either of the two lowest systems listed. This can not stand. Help.

I am also attempting to get the driver disks for the processor to the amiga (DMS post earlier) so this might clear it up.

But I thought I would ask for help in the interim.

It sounds like your 030 has been disabled but is somehow still showing up in SysInfo.  The 68000 would be reporting a speed around 7mHz.

Strange!

it's normal. You need the driver utility at startup-sequence for 030 to be properly configured.

OK. This kind of links with my previous posts about DMS. I cant get a copy of diskmasher. I dont know if it is copyrighted or has been removed from existence. The only copies of the drivers is as DMS files.

Would anyone be able to point me to the software for the CSA Derringer '030 @ 50 MHz in a non DMS format?

Thanks!
Jon
