Hi, im new to this forum so hello everyone.
I just recently bought 2 Amiga 500+'s off of ebay, they were listed as spares or repairs but i was pretty confident i could get them working, how wrong i was.
They load Workbench version 1.3.2 fine but when i try to load a game they throw the error "Software Error 8000 0003" After several attempts at googling the error and finding nothing but german forums im at my wits end, if anyone has any idea what this problem could be any help would be appreciated, Thank You.
I thought that the problem may the rom image or something but as i dont know that much about amigas i dont have any idea :(.
Thanks again.

Possibly defective RAM or a contact problem somewhere. Try reseating all chips (Agnus is a good candidate for crashes but you might need a PLCC puller to move the chip, the old sockets tend to crack easily).
If that doesn't help, run a RAM test.
If present remove the RAM expansion temporarily.
And inspect the board - if the battery has leaked badly, it'll be a pain to fix.
