Title: Possible trade: A1200 accelerator for flicker fixer
Post by: murple on July 19, 2007, 06:54:17 AM
I havent decided yet if I want to sell/trade it... but I recently replaced my CSA 12 Gauge accelerator with a Phase V Blizzard 1230 Mk-IV (the Blizzard can take more RAM). I may keep the CSA as a spare (these things are getting older!) or for use in a second 1200.

However, I really need a flicker fixer/scan doubler. On average these items sell for about the same price. I am considering trying to find a trade.

The CSA has a 68030/50mhz CPU and an FPU. It has a slot for 1 72 pin SIMM that can take up to 32 megs. I have a 16 meg SIMM on it now. It comes with a non-DMA SCSI controller (NCR53c80) capable of transferring about 880k/second (not the fasted SCSI around, but, it works). I used it for a few months and was very happy with it. Works great!

As I said I'm tempted to keep it... but if anyone has a spare flicker fixer and is in need of an accelerator for a 1200, send me a message and we can talk.
