Title: great site for c-64/amiga
Post by: rednova on July 17, 2007, 12:02:36 AM
Dear Friends:

http://www.oldsoftware.com/

I found this site on the net. It is great!!! it has tons of hw/sw for the c-64. If you are nostalgic, you can get a complete c-64 system fully working. They also have amiga stuff. Check it out!!!

looks like their prices are stuck in the 80's also.. LOL..  I wouldnt buy anything from them unless I had pictures of the actual hardware for sale.

I bought an AOS3.5 Cd and a video toaster install disk set from them a year ago, so they're pretty cool. They are getting out of the Amiga, so whatever they have, once its gone, its gone.

The guy I talked to was friendly and informative.

They have good stuff, and they generally guarantee stuff to work and provide a warranty on much of the stuff. Their service is fast and friendly.

That said, their prices are way more expensive than most places for many of their items. But some of the prices are reasonable, and the guarantee is nice after dealing with lots of stupid "it probably works but sold as is" ebay idiots who are selling items they know don't work.

I would recommend oldsoftware.com but ONLY if you can't find what you want somewhere else first, or if you absolutely can't live without a product guarantee.

I have ordered from them several times. No problems (A520 RF modulator, and a bunch of C-64 stuff)

Really sad to hear that they are getting out of the Amiga market though.... :(
