Nah, they are used. When you say "I will sell a dozen or so", do you mean you will sell a dozen to *one* buyer, or can I buy, say, one of each?

:-D
Yes i meant 1 buyer an buy one each :-P
Shipping to Sweden may be a killer :-o

Hmm, yeah. But worth investigating. :-)
I have to go now, but I will contact you later on to see if there are any left. I might be interested in two of each (except the refurbed A500), but I haven't decided yet.
But don't hold any for me! If I loose them to someone else (or if shipment really kills :-o ), too bad for me!

It's not so bad unless you send it with TNT or UPS. There are cheap alternatives...(http://amiga.org/images/subject/icon20.gif)
-
Hey Red! I thought your were going to hold on to those. Are you selling all of them, or are you just cleaning the closets again? :-D
spellet somm wörds wrång
-
@whabang
Not selling all of them, just some. I am also selling other items like THIS (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4598&item=2738051216) , a few A2000s and more goodies.
There is a method to my madness, i think ;-)
-
@ redrumloa
This is growing in my mind. I allready have three C64's, one 128, three Disk Drives, but it would be REALLY nice to have some brand new! :-)
a few A2000s and more goodies.
Are these A2000's new as well? And what other goodies? ;-)
You seem to be a real collector! :-) Do you have A3000's and A4000's as well?
One other thing that struck my mind (which I didn't think of before), these are all NTSC machines I suppose? And 110V with American plugs?
-
*smirk* A500 distributed computing cluster :-)
-
Hmm, does AmigaOS 1.3 really support that? :-P
-
The A2000s are used. No A3000s or A4000s, i wish :-o
Yes they are NTSC and yes they are 110V.
-
@Redrum:
Can you give us more details? IIRC you already mentioned these are NTSC A500s and C64's. Can you tell us what type of A500s these are? (eg KS 1.3? 2.04?) how much chip and fastRAM?
I'm sorely tempted to get one of those C64c's off you - you wouldn't happen to know someplace to get 5.25" floppies, would you?
-
@CodeSmith
For new 5.25" disks check ebay...I picked up
3 boxes of them last year cheap.
-
Yes, I just did a quick google search and was surprised at how easy it was to find DD disks these days.
@redrum: you've got mail! :-D
-
LOL redrumloa, I saw that TV card item earlier on E-bay, how could I miss you were selling it? :-?
-

These are standard first generation Amiga 500s with 512K chip. Here's the trick, some have KS1.2 and some have KS1.3, but all have WB 1.3.
KS revision is not garanteed in these sales because not all boxes are marked.
-
OMG! OMG! OMG!
I would do ANYTHING to have a Brand New A500! :-o
Redrumloa: I live in Florida also... if I come up with the cash I definately want one... right now i'm out of a job. :(
-
The KS version should not be a problem, one can always get a new kickstart from softhut etc... I'm more interested in one of the C64s (the A500 is just too similar to my A1200, the miser in me wouldn't stop complaining...), but if I were to buy an A500 I'd most probably fit it with a kickstart switcher, to have the least compatibility problems.
Watch out though, opening your A500 will void your warranty... :-P
-
I know it's damn silly...but I kind of want a
new 64 as well...for collector value alone.
Imagine a new 64 25 years from now...that could
be quite an item.

Nope, it's not silly at all. A new 64 is rare NOW! In 25 years it will be unheard of.
-
To all those who are waiting for shipping costs, I will be emailing you latger today. Approximately 2/3 mentioned are accounted for. Anyone else email soon, will probably close the offer today.
-
I could be interested (maybe in September) in a new Amiga 500 for my collection of personal computer. I had one 12 years ago but had to sell it ...
So what are the offers ? And for RAM expansion ? And Joysticks ?
-
Red,
I, too, am in Florida...are those A2000's new/refurbs like the '500s?
TIA
-
No sir, the A2000s are used. I am however taking the time to clean them up and change the batteries. They will be nice, but definately used. Both have extras.
-
have a look at Vesalia (http://www.vesalia.de) . A500 for 50 Euro, boxed, I don't know if it's new ....
sorry, didn't see that it has been posted before ... ;-)
-
I wish you luck with your sales, and somehow I think that you'll be struggling to match demand given the comments on here!
Unfortunately I'll stick with my two A500's (very used) and two A1200's that are all crammed into my study right now!
If you get any NOS PAL A4000's then drop me a line! :-D
-
Recap, there are no more new A500s available in this offer. There are a few new C64C and 1541-II, and refurb A500s. I'm closing this offer at 10PM EST.
Thank you to everyone for your interest:-)
-
It's been awhile since I messed wtih older (well, older than my 1200) hardware - if a system comes with 512K chip, it probably has the original Agnus and there is no way to upgrade this to 1MB chip unless Agnus is replaced? If I dropped a memory expansion in the trapdoor, it would give me 1MB, 512K Chip + 512K Fast? How many games require 1MB Chip? The reason why I'm asking all this, is because I wouldn't mind picking up a 500 sometime just to hook up to play games instead of spending my days trying to get them to work on my A1200.

If you dropped in a A501 memory expansion, yes it would give you 512k chip and 512k fast. However if you require 1 Meg chip you do not need a new Agnus, you just put in a A501 and do a simple hack which IIRC requires cutting one trace on the MB. I've done it before, it's simple.
