Title: CardPatch vs CardReset

Is there any disadvantage of using CardPatch over CardReset (speedwise etc.), since the 1st seems to fix more bugs ?

There is no "versus", you have to use both. CardReset fixes the reset bug in the A1200 and CardPatch improves the PCMCIA drivers.
