Title: Install my own 604e?
Post by: Plaz on June 25, 2003, 03:55:08 PM
I have a cyberstorm MKIII 040/66, minus the 604ppc. Anyone have any ideal if I can add my own 604 chip?
I know it has the unpopulated space for it, but.....
I've done much harder projects than this, so techno skill is not a prob. Any tech details or datasheet on these cards?

thanks

Its not an easy job. The CS MkIII is missing all the parts necessary to provide the 3.3v supply and signalling required by the PowerPC processor.

It also doesn't have the flashrom.

Sound like too many missing parts with too little schematics and info. Thanks for the insite on the flashrom.
