I love the Amiga 500, but....

the only real bidder is the guy who bid 77$. subsequent bids are made by the seller from bogus accounts. Somebody should report this to ebay they seem pretty jumpy about shill bidding.
-
BRAND NEW! and REFURBISHED!
yay for ebay!
too many people on ebay suck greatly
-
indeed "bidder 3" has that feel of bogus nonsense
I remember an auction a while back for something I was interested in
the guy had an email of helicop@forgottheisp
and a bunch of bids pushed up the price from helipad@someplace
it was such a "coincidence" those names, like many things on ebay
-
if you look at the bid activity bidder 6 and bidder 4 have 100% and bidder %74 activity with this seller. (they only bid at this guys auctions) I'ld say this is definitely fraud. Who on earth signs up to bid $500 on a 20 year old computer ?
He's just trying to create the image (oh this item is so precious) to give it as a reference for future auctions. (this stuff has been sold at ebay for $500, but now I'm giving you a $300 buy it now)
-
yup, just another sucky ebay seller
-
It is BS that Ebay changed the way to view who bids I have caught and reported numerous people who were obviously using fake accounts , now it looks like it is near impossible... horray
-
I think you are wrong about the bidding information.
The 100% refers only to the bids which the bidder has on auctions in the last 30 days, not all the bids the bidder has ever made.
So just because that bidder has only bid on one item in the last 30 days, that means it is a shill bidding account?
Having said that, the final price is insane. I paid £368 for my a500 back in the day (Computer Exchange, Princes Avenue, Hull) - I couldn't afford an external floppy drive at £50, couldn't afford a monitor (around £200), and had to save for ages for the cheapest half-meg & RTC upgrade (around £50).
Sigh, happy days...

$2000.00 for an Amiga 500? I am at a loss for words right now.
-
And how, exactly, do you report sham bids/auctions to ebay anymore? I tried it on something else the other day, and after wading through a dozen screens about "why I thought it was fraudulent", I got directed to an ebay FAQ, instead of to something saying "this bid has been reported".
WTF?
-
I paid 35 USD for my new in box 500 with new in box 1084!
-
That is INSANE!! I have one just like that, refurb NIB but with a MINT box! Paid $60 for it like 3 years ago on ebay. I might have to sell this later for a nice profit!! Hahaha
-
It's obviously fake/a joke.
I paid about $50 for MIB "late model" A500 a while back. I thought that was a little excessive even.
-
This is a weird one. I just looked at the sellers feedback and he doesn't do that big a volume of business and there's no real indication of shilling in his other acutions. His biggest sale in the last 90 days is $140 and he only has only 1 negative feedback. Maybe he has enemies who are trying to make his life miserable by setting up phoney Ebay accounts and bidding his auctions up to fantastic prices he will never be paid. On the other hand, there is premium for "New in the Box" vintage computers but this is still just an A500. I can't quite believe the auction is real and that he will actually get paid $2000 for an A500.

Nope I am not wrong. The bidding info shows the name and the rating. You can click on the rating and see all the previous auctions, and what the particular user was rated as. It was fairly easy to determine if someone was taking advantage of you at that point. That this auction did not allow you to do that screams that it is a shill bidding. Or just a crazy person.
