Title: Wanted faceplate for FB357-A
Post by: amesie2 on July 13, 2007, 03:23:40 AM
Hi all,

I am looking for a faceplate for a FB357-A floppy drive if anyone has a spare or drive that is dead they might want to part with.

Thanx much :-D

The problem is, I am not sure there is such a thing as a faceplate for that drive per se.

On my A3000, the faceplate is from the computer itself.

Having repaired my own 357 using sensor switches that came from an FB354 that was originally in an A2000, I can tell you that the faceplate on both of these drives seem to be compatible.

@eslapion

Thanks for the info, I kinda thought the 354 would work the only thing is the color would be beige which isn't too big of a problem.

I do have 2 spare 357 drives one with faceplate and one without (it's missing), I also have a 357 for the 3000D which doesn't have a faceplate and also doesn't have holes stamped in the front area for a faceplate to pop into.

Thanx
