Where can I buy CrossDos?
-
CrossDOS should be bundled on AmigaOS 3.x
-
Sometimes the free alternatives do the job, too:
fat95 (http://www.aminet.net/package/disk/misc/fat95)
xfs (http://www.aminet.net/package/disk/misc/xfs)
-
There are several versions of CrossDos that were written. There is an early version of CrossDos incorporated in AmigaDos v3+ and a much better version (CrossDos Gold) that was released in the mid 1990s). I don't know of anyone still selling a copy but you might get lucky with Software Hut, etc...
Copies of CrossDoss still turn up on eBay from time to time.

whats so special about the gold version, can you mount pc harddisks on the amiga or somehting. What extras do you get over the version that comes with AOS. Just curious
-
Long filenames at least.
(have been using Fat95 for years)
-
Yeah but you can get fat95 for free off aminet

No, but you can try Marek Szyprowski's ntfs-driver available at aminet (http://aminet.net/search?query=ntfs) and from his homepage (http://home.elka.pw.edu.pl/~mszyprow/programy/)

CrossDOS does not do NTFS, either.
