what prg was overriding your energy options. if such a program existed you should be able to disable it from within the individual program.

hamtronix,

don't know which program disables my power saving settings

it can be winuae or it can be any other...don't know
I haven't found the guilty...sometimes my energy settings are disabled...dunno why

I know that windows vista don't let any program override energy settings....I found an article here but not any solution

http://www.treehugger.com/files/2006/11/how_windows_xp.php

that's why I need a patch for that...for windows xp sp2...if exists

Just uncheck the "disable powersaving features" option in WinUAE.

Why do you let it crash ? WinUAE never crashes for me if I don't sit in front of it and do something stupid.

Bye,
Thomas

So it only crashes when people are using it?

Please tell me you're being sarcastic.  WinUAE crashes and burns on me regularly.  I can't even get the latest version to run at all, and the version I have runs like crap on a dual core CPU.
