So I've got my 1200 finally in a tower, got a Blizzard Phase IV 68030 50mhz installed with 16mb ram but have a few queries, hopefully someone can help out with.
I managed to pickup a scsi squirrel with an 8x philips drive. I took the external drive bay apart, stripped out the drive to install it in my tower. I got one of those right angled PCMCIA things from Amiga kit. Ive installed all the hardware but I can't get the amiga to see the drive.
When installing I managed to mess up the PCMCIA angle. I think one of the pins was slightly bent on the amiga and it damaged the plastic of the angle card. I have straightened everything out but I feel it could be going in further. When its in place it falls out very easy.
Another possible balls I made was on the back of the scsi drive. There were 5no cables connected to the rear of the drive from a number selector (btw I've never used scsi before). The 5no cables were in a set of 3 and 2 on connectors. These got taken off the drive while stripping it out but I'm not so sure if they are in the correct place again. Does anyone know were they should go. Basically there is a section of 2x4pins and they could sit anywere.
Any help anyone could give would be great.
