You know when you upgrade a A1200 with a e.g 68030 and put about 32mb ram on th board would it increase your video memory so you dont need to turn ur A1200 into a tower. Would you be able to display 16-32bit colour with a certain amount of expanded RAM?

No. In order to display those screenmodes you need a graphics card.

Yes the BVisionPPC fits into the A1200 desktopcase though it is not recommendet due to heatproblems. This card required the presence of a BlizzardPPC accelerator as it is attached to thas board. If you go this way you look at an investment of 250-500 EUR depending on the BlizzardPPC you get. Due to powerconsumption the much more expensive 060 Version is recommendet as the 68060 drwas less power then the 68040. That way the chances are much better that you can actually power it just through the external powerconnector alone. Of course you will need a much stronger PSU preferably a hacked AT/ATX PSU

Not a real graphics card but the Graffiti can be a nice add on for an A1200. It doesn't do RTG AFAIK but you can use it with ShapeShifter and some games.
The Graffiti doesn't go inside the 1200 case but it connects to the RGB port and you connect the monitor cable to the Graffiti. So it doesn't require a tower conversion.

You also can try siamese rtg for higher resolutions and colours.

You know with the D-box thing on amiga kit does that come with a pci board?

no it does not come with a PCI board . but you can buy a pci board that will fit and add Pci RTG cards such as the voodoo 2 3 4 PCI etc it will also allow you to use soundcards tv cards etc then .. but beware it is quite costly

Will the Efika 5K2 run Amiga OS 4.0??? if it does do u think its work expanding my A1200 or geting a A4000 or Efika 5K2

Rumour has it, that it does. But I seriously doubt that it would ever be sold for EFIKA.
Morphos 2.0 is coming soon, as is AROS for the EFIKA. Morphos is quite good at running 3.x software. AROS isn't (yet!) but it's open source and free.
SAM440 will hopefully run OS4 and should run AROS - it's all a bit up in the air at the moment - hopefully things should be clearer by the Autumn. :-)

LOL why are they in court is it coz the mac mini port of OS4???? Does anyone have a amigaone for sale 4 around £200? A friend of mine would kill for a A1 but unlike me im not botherd about OS4 till it comes out officially
