Hi,
got the A1200 out for the first time in a long time and was looking through the harddrive (the one without the chksum error- DOH) and found some old Jpgs from Tv shows and stuff, I noticed that it took some seconds to show each image, oh boy how spolit are we these days with almost direct access to our many many photos.
Is there any way of speeding up the viewing, I think I have the Blizzard+ board thingy.. but I guess its just older kit now.

The faster your accelerator, the quicker the files will load. Also, you should install WarpDT (http://www.warpdt.co.uk/) which are optimized datatypes for faster processors.

It really depends on what are you opening them with. Are you using Multiview or some other program.
Updating the JPEG datatype with a faster version may help.

Cheers, of I will try the WARPDT app, also I think (now don't quote me) I am viewing with DW app, (file directory explorer tool).... oh wait hang on its comming back to me, I think I set up a cli call from that app to load them, who knows what that might be, oh well I will have to have a look. That is if the wife we let me play, I told her I was saving it to show the future generations what home computing was all about when I was a lad... hehe
I need a workshop to hide in and FAST!

Hi Andy,
I use Visage see Aminet http://aminet.net/gfx/show/Visage.readme
If you muli-select pictures to view, it pre-loads the next picture into memory so, as you view the first the next pic is ready almost instantaneously.
Also, Visage is very configuarable using its Icon Tooltypes, for example you can set to SCALE so the picture fits your monitor screen.
