Hi. I've found the sound on the A4000T to be way very low compared to the other 2. The 4000's is also lower then the A1200's. Is this caused by some capacitors dying or just the normal situation when comparing them ?
In 14bit calibration the A4000T beat's em I can get a perfect calib file with not beeps at all!! (and more easier)

Yes, dying capacitors but maybe also due to a +/- 12v problem on PSU.

Well, if there was a problem with the 12v lines the machine would also have other symptoms no ?
Maybe it's due to the crappy ATX power supply A4000T's came with ?
Anyway, in general should the level be the same on all Amiga models ?
Thx

I guess not many have all mentioned models to make the comparison... :-(

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but from memory the Amiga 4000 motherboard doesn't use 12 volt for much. Just audio and RS232 (serial port). It should still boot OK even if the motherboard 12 volt line is faulty.

Cool, that might explain it! I remember some comments here on how crappy the original A4000T psu is, but never got to know what the actual deal was with it.
