Hi all,
I recently bought the Earth 2140 CD on Ebay. Unfortunately after installing it, the graphics appear horrible and corrupt. As if the system thought I was using a different graphics standard. I couldn't find any tooltypes for P96 or anything else obvious (to me at least).
I'm using a 1200 with 060, Mediator Voodoo3 3000 (P96).
Any known issues I should be aware of?
Thanks.

Don't use the latest voodoo.card driver, use the version prior to the latest one
The latest driver has issues on some systems

I don't think that's it.
In Libs/Picasso96/ I've got a file called Voodoo.card that is 14692 bytes, dated 20th July 05 and has a version of 4.26.
Do you mean an earlier version of this file?
Any other thoughts? :)

As far as can recall this issue has always been solved by installing Picasso96 2.1b instead of the latest available AmiNet version (2.0).
-
There's also a patch for the game on Epic's (now Runesoft's) homepage that might help.

Yes
It's solved my gfx problems on both my A4000 and A1200
Using latest Picasso 2.1b

Oh, and I've been trying to fix my issue with Earth2140 (it is like negative image with all the colors of rainbow) - so the fix is to change older voodoo.card. Hopefully I still have the old package somewhere.
What other issues you have found to be conflicting with newest voodoo.card?

Wipeout 2097 refused to start fully also with the newest voodoo.card
The older version is in the mediatorup39 package I think

You wouldn't have a specific link Matt? I've been on the Runesoft site with IBrowse 2.4 with java on and off and its all messed up. I found mention of a likely patch on the Pagan site, the Eager site and elsewhere, but not the pesky patch itself. :-(
As Quenthal describes the problem so well, its like a negative image with all the colours of the rainbow.

Ah - I have sent you a pm but I think I misunderstood your humour.

Thanks AMIGAZ - that did the trick for me. Newest voodoo.card (4.23) working with Eath2140 seems to be included in the MMCD Update 1.26.

Thanks. Installed, but it did not change the LSD effect.
I have version 4.26 of the voodoo.card file on my Multimedia CD from Elbox and my hard drive - don't suppose you'd have the earlier version?

With my setup (A1200,PPC,Mediator+Voodoo3) i have a graphics flickering prob, it's not a big one but any time you scroll the screen it flashes a tiny spot with garbled graphics that disappear quickly.
Tiny prob but annoying.

This (http://www.rune-soft.com/englisch/Projektseiten/earth/earth.html) is the page with the patch. Last link before the screenshots.
