Title: Questions for WInUAE Users
Post by: DonnyEMU on June 30, 2007, 09:54:04 AM
Is there a compiled list of the versions of Applications that work with RTG cards and support winuaegfx resolutions (including native modes) anywhere?

Does anyone have experience with Catweasel PCI and WinUAE?I am attempting to move over 200 floppies to ADF before they all die..

Also, does anyone know which 68060.library one should use with WinUAE that doesn't cause a crash, and what the minimum setpatch is for the 68060 in winuae..

Don, I would expect most OS aware software to support RTG modes.  Personally, I prefer to open applications on the Workbench screen using a nice large resolution, rather than having separate screens for each program.

I'm afraid I have never tried the Catweasal, however support for this hardware appears to very good in WinUAE for quite some time.

Regarding the 68060.library, again, I'm afraid I do not have any experience with Amiga software that requires an 060 to run.  Indeed, it is debatable whether a 68060 optimised application will function any faster with WinUAE than a vanilla 68000/68020 task.

Kind regards,
James
