"IMVU is a graphical instant messaging client (3D chat) with more than 7 million users. Currently, it is in public beta, and has been available since 2004-09-18. It is developed by IMVU, Inc., founded by Will Harvey, a video game developer and founder of There. According to the IMVU site, the 3D chat service is growing faster than MySpace."

And how can this be used on amiga? :idea:
-
And it's just as lame as myspace.
-
While we're at it, why not also advertise Second Life (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_life) and Habbo Hotel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habbo_Hotel)?
As of December 2006, over 66 million Habbos have been created worldwide and there are 7 million unique visitors to the virtual hotels around the world every month.

:roll: Ok, in my attempt to make this thread VAGUELY Amiga related, I'll throw The Vulcan Portal (http://www.vulcan.co.uk/portal/english/index.htm) onto this list of non-Amiga 3D chat programs. At least Vulcan was formally an Amiga company and have shown they're still interested (mildly) in the Amiga market. :roll:
:idea: Who knows, maybe they're planning a version for OS4! :-P
-
Hum,
that The Vulcan Portal seems very nice.
i need to check it out...
@whiteb
imvu is still beta.

I dont care, imvu is not an "Alternative Operating system" its a Teenybop meeting place, and a paedophile pickup joint and deserves to be added to EVERY parental control software on the Internet.
