Title: PocketUAE Development Ceased?
Post by: alphonsus on June 21, 2007, 11:19:59 PM
As far as I can tell, development on the PocketUAE emulator for PocketPCs finished in 2006. Can anyone confirm that? Sourceforge hasn't been updated in a long time.

I really want to try this but it won't work on my device - the RMB click won't let you move the cursor at the same time so you can't select menu items.

I applologize, I do not know an answer.
I would like to know if you recommend any particular hardware?
Thanks.

Anything with a 400Mhz or faster CPU can run PocketUAE at about A500 speeds... but audio is choppy. As Marvel start to bring out faster XScale's the emulation should improve. I would also recommend a VGA (640*480) screen if you plan to use workbench (though it's not necessary)... 320*240 is fine for Games as most were Lowres on the A500 anyway.

Looks like Dev has stopped.

I have tested it on my X50v pda, 627mhz cpu , 640x480 and openGL gfx chip... it reaches A500 speed...

I hope not too off topic.
I am looking to see how far I can go to make Amiga emulation as solid state as possible.  Minimig is one solution and PocketPC is another.

I downloaded pocket uae from pocketinsanity.sourcefourge.net and am wondering if that is a familiar site.
