Hey guys. My name is Denis and I am from Brisbane, Australia. I was around the ages of 11-18 when Amiga's were supreme and my parents insisted on PCs (damn). Since then I bought a few old ones off ebay and sold them again (A500 x 3, A1200 Magic Pack, A600, 2 monitors and a crap load of disks) but as the operating system and software was still dated, they weren't too useful for me now, although I remember fondly in my teens how much I wanted an Amiga.
Since there were no others I have settled these days on Macs which are quite nice machines but I am really looking forward to seeing if this 'beginners' amiga is released as I would love to get my hands on one. The price is right and if they do something that is cheap but gets in a lot of hands you just never know what may happen. Remember as Apple realised late in the game, Microsoft doesn't have to lose for them to win and the same applies with Amiga. A niche market of computer users, when you are dealing with a global market, is still a lot of people. Who knows.....
Anyway, I'll be hanging around for a while to see how the ACk hardware turns out. Hopefully something may eventuate.
Talk soon. Denis.

Welcome Dennis. Yeah hopefully Amiga will get their heads out of their butts and actually produce more than empty promises. In the meantime tho you can always pick up an Amiga 4000 with 3.1 ROMS and os 3.9 and have a great time on a machine that still rocks. Who knows throw in a A4000 toaster and you can really just experience what it used to be like, actually having fun using a computer. Anyways cheers.

You'll be waiting a *LONG* time, then. A long time.
Long.
LONG!!!
L O N G!!!!!!
Did I mention a long time?
G Dubya has a better chance of getting a 3rd term as President, than we do getting hardware from ACK.

No harm in hope I guess. You just never know.....
