Title: WHDLoad strange problem.
Post by: flaviosr on June 19, 2007, 09:27:11 PM
Ciao to all!

I am using WHDLoad 16.4 on my A1200 (you can see the configuration in my signature) but a strange thing happens... after some minutes the game hangs! Not the Amiga, only the game. If I press the exit key I get back to Workbench and I can start another game (or the same)...
Now I am thinking about a thing... could be a problem of compatibility with Miami DX and the MA401? This is the only prog I use in background... :-|

Can anybody help?

Ciao and thank you

Sounds like a interrupt generated by the PCMCIA that is not processed and thus is retriggered in a loop.

Try taking the network offline before starting WHDLoad. Does the problem occur then?

If you are running a TCP/IP stack it will hang, go offline when you use WHDLoad.  Happens to all my Amigas, even with a Zorro Ethernet card.

Yep it's a known problem. Turn off TCP/IP.

I had no problems with WHDLoad, AmiTCP and RS232/magPLIP, haven't used it much though.
