Post by: Miloo on June 15, 2007, 12:17:07 PM
How do i edit the startup-sequence file on the hard drive in dos. I typed in something on the file and the computer will not boot into os3.9 but only to dos?

Type Workbench: and press ENTER

Type S and press ENTER

Type Ed startup-sequence and press ENTER

Your startup-sequence should now appear for you to edit :-)

:pint:

EDIT - Doh! How often does someone else reply while you are typing

But better use ED only in emergency situations as it cuts down too long lines :) For example my blizkick line is gone if I use ED :) CED or any other decent text editor does the job better.

@ pVC:

You can trick ED into keeping long lines by having letters ahead of your cursor that you can delete when you are done (although it's still less than ideal).
