Title: Sample playback?
Post by: amigan24 on June 12, 2007, 07:14:58 PM
Wondering if there is a utility / patch where you can click on a sample name and have it playback. I am using OSS and have over 100,000 samples with no way to preview a sound before I use it.

I used to have DiskMaster set up to do that sort of thing, if that helps. If you were asking for something to get OSS to do that, I don't even know what OSS is. :-/

I used to use the instrument list panel to organise my collection. I'd just load from there into an empty instrument slot to preview it.

It's not click-to-play, but you could always use something like play16 in the shell (provided you disable the sound channels in OSS whilst browsing your samples)
