Title: canadian back on the scene
Post by: meddle01 on June 10, 2007, 01:28:52 AM
Greetings.   I just bumped across Amiga Forever and it impressed and surprised me to see such a comprehensive package put together - so growing up a huge Amiga fan I had to whip out the old credit card and give it a try.   An A500 I have is back home, back on the ranch in southern BC.   I used to have it and a 3000 and ran a multi-line DLG Pro BBS for years during and post-college days.

So I'm playing around with this emulation thing and have a few questions I want to throw out there to The Community - I suspect this is a good board to do that?

Various issues like 1) getting the emulation to work properly 2) hardware devices (mice/keyboard/joystick) issues and to see if anyone out there is running this emulation software on Mac hardware via Parallels, VMWare, or BootCamp like I am.

Thanks

Thanks.   I haven't thought much about the Amiga in the past 14 years or so, but tonight I have spent many hours with a tear in the eye, beer beside me, and some sad old Tom Waits songs playing.

Hi there,

Welcome.

What version of Amiga Forever do you have? AF 6.0 works great for me under XP Pro. No problems to report. I didn't have as much fun with version 5.0. I can't remember exactly, but the sound on 5.0 wasn't that great without some tweaking.
