Title: Amiga Copiers On Ebay

Hi I am selling a copy of Syncro Express II on ebay.
Also a copy of ALLCOPY 2. Both items listed separately.

WILL BOTH COPY COPYPROTECTED GAMES (FLOPPIES)

yes like anyone will fo any harm by copying original amiga games in 2007 , and why bother with all the adf's on the net, even a morron can dl the whole amiga tosec...
bah that copier is a piece of history lol

Synchro Express II rocks btw.  I've never had something it couldnt backup.

Oli_hd, does the expression "personal backup" means anything to you ? ;)

If it allows to backup a couple of floppies with some years old before they go unreadable it's great, right ?

I'm wondering, how complicated is that PCB? Could there be a functionally similar DIY PCB+sw hack as cheap alternative?

I see no problem there. The hardware being able to copy the copyprotected games is a feature.

The original hardware was specically marketed as being able to do that aswell, and the manufacturer wasn't sued for piracy either... :-)

Nothing complicated; some crossing lines, perhaps a switch to bypass. I saw the Cyclone schematics probably on EAB 1-2 years ago.

About a year ago I was actually looking into the possibility of using a floppy drive as a alternative to a eeprom, but as soon as I saw the pinout and complex control signals for floppy drives I gave up.

One intresting thing might of been to hook two drives together with a pile of logic binary counters controlling the addressing and see if one floppy could be hard-copied to another.
