How much is it worth?

Don't think I could be quite that cruel though.

That was really cruel.

Absolutely priceless though

There are a few more here.

http://www.galaxyyorkshire.co.uk/article.asp?id=291672

In one of them he gets the guy to boast about the 6 month affair he had with his ex behind his current (although soon to be ex) girlfriend's back.

In another he chats up a woman who denies that she even has a boyfriend in order to go out with him.  When he mentions the boyfriend's name she replies "He doesn't have to know about it"

Very, very cruel, and although I'll admit to laughing at some points in the dialogue (more in shock than in genuine amusement), I'm not sure the shame of a region-wide dumping on radio outweighs the girl's infidelity. It feels to me like firing a Tomahawk cruise missile at a mosquito, and pointedly shows the lack of nerve in the guy to actually dump her himself.

It reminds me of the story I once heard of a similar couple with the woman being more than a bit close with a man she wasn't supposed to be close with. Her fiancé had had a PI trail her and make beautiful pictures of the woman in various poses which would put any porn actress to shame. He waited until the wedding was truly well underway, and then, during the festivities after the vows were exchanged, made a little speech in which he urged every guest to look under their chair. They found envelopes taped to them, and upon opening, discovered various 'compromising' pictures of the woman who was now married to a man who did in no way resemble the man in the photographs. He then announced he was going to file for divorce.

That story too has me thinking 'a bit too much, perhaps'.

I really think it's not done, for a public media infringing in other people's lives. Maybe it is wrong what she's done. Bon. That's something between her and her ex. Maybe she's even victim of gossip, who knows. Maybe this media has set it up. I'd sue them if I was her.

You don't honestly think it was real do you?

The amount of laws he would be breaking if it was real wouldn't let it gets past the radio stations lawyers in the first place.

I sincerely do not have any idea.

Well, that was my feeling of it, but I am never sure about these kinds of things.

Think about it this way then.  If it was real, the presenter would have been sacked by now.

Hm, don't know. Especially considering there are weird British media, like the Sun and so, you know...

It sounded awfully convincing to me. So either the radio station has superb actors which are wasting their talents big time, or someone hasn't had the nerve to press charges already. There's at least 4 different episodes of this guy already, too. One is a good joke, but 4 is getting very old very quickly.

Failed drugs test prank call. (http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2004/s_failed_drug_test-p1.php)
I bet her mother must be really regretting setting her up for this.

Check the comments on the original link at the bottom of the page.

The same call has been done by about three different radio stations.

Okay, I was fooled. But I'll maintain my original comment that these people are wasting their talents on the radio, then.

I'm missing this. Which comments exactly?

@Cymric:

I agree. If these are all fake, they're very convincingly acted.
The fact that "Danny" seems to improve his technique over time adds to this.

Maybe I'm cynical...but I'm not buying it. I've stopped believing in these radio skits after hearing the same "call" played on 2 different stations a few months apart. Both DJs acted like it was a live phone call...sheesh...I sure know how to be the Davey Downer of a partay...huh?

My mistake. It was two, not three different stations. ;-)

Oh, I see. I did read that comment but can't say I'm convinced either way. That's just an unsubstantiated claim - no link or anything.

Heard this one a while ago, laughed my head off when I did. Nothing worse than a cheating partner, makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it, and you know she did it, her silence said it all.

Something I found even funnier were some of the user comments on the website (which shall remain nameless) that I heard it on originally, one of which went along the lines of "What language are they speaking?"
