I know the title of this message is insane, but it is a thought. They list as a company worth only (ONLY?!?) 1.6 million dollars. I am willing to bet that the lot of us active members of this board could come up with that. We sell some of our extra equipment, hold a few garage sales, shang-hi McEwen and use him as a dunking tank target to raise money...
I know...I am just being insane. ANd most likely beating another dead horse. But the thought is entertaining, and would be wonderful to make reality.
-
dude it's NOT for sale..... don't be a retard.
beside that it not woth $25 let alone what ever Billy thinks it worth....
Yes you are beating a dead horse and no at this point I'm not sure it's entertaining anymore.

I think its a GREAT idea the Amiga fans make amiga is the only way amiga will live on!! It would be amazing! Imagin if that happened now! :-D :-D :-D
-
where do you ppl come from? don't you guy's have any conection to reality? this is sad.
-
They come from Amigaland. Faith in Amigans is stronger than anything anybody has ever seen regarding Jesus Christ and the great Christian myth. Amiga will rise again, or so the scriptures of the great book of AmiReligion say. The followers then proceed to place the holy red and white checkered rock into the pipe and with a flick of a lighter they breath in heavily. For 15 minutes the world is aligned and Amiga is everywhere, then comes the crash of reality.

@koaftder
LOL! You got that right!

@ koaftder
.... So say we all.

Yeah, I must agree that this kind of thread is no longer entertaining (if it ever was).
I am much more interested in what we can do now and for ourselves and other Amiga users, than the waste of time such pie in the sky thoughts of buying something that is not for sale at a price all the remaining Amiga users world wide would be stupid to think of paying.
I am trying to ignore all the crap that is floating about the net regarding the current Amiga Inc. vs Hyperion situation. I will just wait until the smoke settles and see if anything useful comes of it.
In the mean time, I have work to do on my Amigas and with my fellow Amiga users.
-
Yes mate, silly idea.
We should buy Hyperion instead.
:-D

I would love to help you in this regard, but I only last week took a jar of pennies to the bank
however, I am in the process of filling the jar up with pennies again, so there may be a possibility of adding some cash to your attempt in the future
that is if you accept bags of pennies (so far I've got about £5)

@starrunner It's funny, but I was thinking the same thing
If it was a real company, then there has to be some kind of shares, stockholdings or something to show a majority!then only could a sort of buy out or executive decisions could be make or something..but this isn't the case. I guess let them mess it all up some more till someone else comes by and take it over again!

Or just put your money where your gobs are and donate to AROS instead.
-
I thought AROS was the enemy?
Or was it Morphos?
Or the Judean Peoples front?
Someone please tell me in which direction I should be pointing my rubber chicken.

Yeppppeeeee
while we are at it.
lets buy microsoft aswell!!
two birds with one stone.

I was having a wishful thinking moment. I am glad to see that I am at least insane still after all these years.
For the record, I know that Amiga Inc. is not for sale. I also know from my own end of things that I would not have much money to dump into a hostile takeover. I am up to enough money into a video production business of my own.
I know, logically, that Amiga Inc. is never going to give us anything of substance.
