Title: amiga.resource.cx down??
Post by: Amiduffer on June 05, 2007, 07:25:52 AM
I tried the link below to Amiga Resource and got a broken link. Is the site down?

I really needed a driver for this Firecracker card and thats the only place I can think of that had one.

Funny you should mention this. I am also looking for the Firecracker software. The amiga.resource.cx (Amiga Hardware Database) was also down a few weeks ago when I was looking for it. A while later it was working though, alas there were no downloads for the Firecracker.

Really! I specifically remember seeing a link for one on that page. Damn. There might be a guy in England with one. He had a picture of a large amount of Impulse software, so I hope he emails me back.

The site has been going up and down a bit of late, I tried on Sunday and couldnt get in but then on Monday I could.
He said he was having DNS problems in another a.org thread but I tried the alternate domain he gave back then and that didnt work.

Just keep trying and you will catch it one of these times. :-) (Doesnt seem to be up at the moment)

If anyone knows please educate me. wa9yoz sent me the Firecracker card, and he sent it with a disk that has some files on it. They're files entitled RGBdown for example. Some are for the old Turbo Silver program. There's no documentation about where to put them (if they're all you need)

One item that goes along with it, that must be Uber rare is a cable that goes from the Amiga RGB port to the Firecrackers 15 pin connector, thence to the monitor.
