Title: Add color to A500/2000 composite output
Post by: joekster on June 03, 2007, 11:18:34 PM
I vaguely remember(maybe in a drunken state) that there was a hardware hack to add the color signal into the composite output of the A500/2000. I tried google'ing but came up empty... Any ideas?

Hi,

I don't recall seeing one - but the easiest way (without any hardware hacking!) would be to locate an A520 modulator. OK, it's not as neat, but these usually cost peanuts!

There's none of the circuitry there to produce a color composite signal. You'd basically have to build a 520 from scratch. Or at least half of one- the rgb to composite part.

If your not using the video slot, an A2300 genlock board adds a color composite out and these go pretty cheap. If your using an A500, then and A520 is the way to go.
