Title: Mediator "hardware key"
Post by: ravnen on May 30, 2007, 08:26:23 PM
Just got my mediator back from repairs, and have a clean os 3.9 system for it.

I cannot remember how I did this.
Acording to the readme file I first have to install the hardware key "following the instruction on the package".

Well I don't have the package here, but I have the original cd with the license number, but where do I put it?

I guess this is the reson that pciinfo reports "I can't open pci.library!" even if it does indeed exist in libs:

Can anyone tell me where to enter my serial?

Edit:

Never mind :) It was only the config jumper.

But ain't i supposed to write that serial somewhere, I think I did that the last time, or maby my memory is playing tricks on me again

You don't have to enter the SN.  That error happened to me too.  The problem was the mediator was not seated properly in its slot.  Try reaseating the card once or twice.

@ravnen

You probably had to e-mail the serial to Elbox to recieve updates.  Depending on how old your CD is, it's probably best to e-mail their support and get the latest packages.
