From OSNews.com:
In yet another set of legal documents in the Amiga-Hyperion court case, it is revealed that AmigaOS 4 was ported to run on the Mac Mini (the PowerPC version, obviously), or, at least, that the port was in a very advanced state. The information was found in an email exchange between Bill McEwen of Amiga and Nicola Morocutti of VirtualWorks, about the latter obtaining a license to sell AmigaOS 4 together with the Sam 440ep board as well as, aparantly, to sell boxed copies of AmigaOS 4 for the Mac Mini.
If we get denied this, I'm going to be pissed!

Interesting read it is

no joke!!!
I'd LOVE to run Amiga OS4.0 heck I'd be happy with OS 3.0 on my Intel Mac.
I'd LOVE if some patriotically minded Amiga programmer let that 'leak' out!!
-
Not sure why it is obvious the port was for the PPC version of Mac Mini but I think Amiga or somebody could sell quite a few OS4 CDs ....and if it runs on the Mac Mini ,why wouldn't it run on any other Mac with a G4 (or even G3)?
-
think it would be a given that it would run on other PPC macs....it might have just been "bundled" with the mac-mini..
And yes that would a HUGE market to tap in to ..if it were true..Plus a huge
sucess..there are soo many G3, G4 mac out there..
I have 6..that I was thinking of getting rid of..but..would keep them if
OS4 could be run on them :-)

AmigaOS would become kinda like BeOS.
First Run on a BeBox, then on a Mac.

Right, so let's see, we've almost got nothing with comercial efforts but giving it away for free would be "patriotic"!. Come on, AROS has been on for 10 years...

It's obvious that porting AOS4 to Mac Mini (PPC) can't be that big a deal.
However, I highly doubt if this port will become available (legally). :-(
Additionally, the PPC Mac Mini has of course been discontinued since, so it'd make a lot of sense to release a 'new' OS for it. :-P

I guess someone at Amiga Inc did read my email a few years ago...... Oh well, to late now.
