Title: Cyberstorm Mk III 68060/50 disks
Post by: flaviosr on May 26, 2007, 11:07:11 AM
Ciao to everybody,

I have just bought Cyberstorm Mk III for my Amiga 3000.
My problem is that I miss the disks and in the manual it's written that the 68060 driver must be installed BEFORE installing the card (!)... :-?
Now... is there anybody con help with these two disks (I think one for the SCSI controller and one for the CPU)?

Ciao and thank you

Not entirelly true (that you need to install from the disk before plugging the card), but it would help.

Basically you need the 68040.library (dummy one) and the 68060.library. Check: http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/cyberstorm2#s_cyberstorm2

about the CPU libs, download and copy in SYS:Libs/ this (http://phase5.a1k.org/files/040_060Libs.lha) full set of libs. This set will works on every AmigaOS/CPU from here to the eternity :-)

If you'll get troubles with the 68060.library 46.15 (don't think so) replace it with the one bundled in  this (http://vgr.tc3net.com/dce/pub/060/68060-191099.lha) archive (46.7)

Thank you to all!!!  :-)
Now everything works... another problem now! :-o
I have only OS3.1 and I am trying sysinfo that tells me I have a 68040! I look at the true CPU and it is a 68060 (and anyway the Cyberstorm Mk III does not exists with other CPUs than the 68060...).
I think (hope?) this is only a program problem... can you indicate me a program that correctly sees the CPU?

Ciao and thank you again...

Try SysSpeed 2.6 (http://aminet.net/package/util/moni/sspeed26). SysInfo is ancient and doesn't know about 68060.
