Hello! I need some info on tech stuff...
Because of dead left audio, I tracked it down to the ESS chip on the concierto board. JJB checked also the resistors/tracks, but still no left audio from concierto... so I am thinking of replacing the ESS1688F chip on the concierto, I really want to save it and not bin it, it is a shame! :-(
only prob is that I have 2 good ESS1688F chips...
#1: ES1688F D175 VB34197
#2: ES1688F D325 VB38567
the concierto one is: ES1688F D127 TAVBB9831A
anyone knows wth those Dxxx VBxxxxxxx markings mean? is it possible that the TAVBBxxxxx marking means different voltage or something similar???
any info is appreciated...
also HERE (http://www.datasheetarchive.com/datasheet.php?article=3725896) is the 1688F datasheet in PDF format (thanks alexh !)
thanks! :-D

looks like series number, or crypted month/year of manufacture

anyone?
I know this is a very strange request, but before I try anything funny and burn my amiga, I must insist!
:bump:

I guess they're lot#, fab references or something similar. Everything I found just talks about ES1688F. It's 3.3V/5V compatible - if the packaging is the same, I'd risk it.

yes it is the same package...
I can't find revisions either....

one last :bump: before I proceed with the transplant...
