It's very strange.
After 4 years, 3 different courses, and 2 different universities, my Higher education (hopefully*) came to a close in a sports hall at 11:34am with the words "Stop writing."
It's been an incredible (and surprisingly varied) expereince, probably totally unlike what most students have. It's hard to believe that it's all over, and that there are many things I did today for the very last time.
I really don't know what to do with myself now. Drinking beer sounds like a good option.
* If I passed all of the modules (the last 2 exams were little buggers)

Let me start by congratulating you :pint:

Congrats on finishing. Hope your result is what you need. I'm on the verge of starting my higher education in September :nervous:

Thanks guys. The main reason I felt compelled to post about it here, was that many years back, some of the members here were instumental in getting me into university. I'm not sure my portfolio of work would have been as good as it was if it wasn't for the guidence of members like bobson and cecilia, giving valuable critiques and advice.
The fact that, should I pass, I will have a degree in Computer Science rather than Digital Art from a different university to the one I originally was accepted to is a rather long story :-)
@moto
You'll have a great time, it's a brilliant experience. Personally, I'm glad I had a few years in the real world before I went to uni. I think I was able to appreciate it a lot more and get far more out of it than if I had of gone as an 18 year old drunkard.
Plus it's so much better than real work :-)
What/where are you going to be studying?
-
Well I've been working in The Real World* for 5 years now and have experienced a lot in terms of business. I even ran the team here for a while. So that experience will be invaluable.
I'll be studying Speech and Language Therapy at UCE Birmingham. Quite a change from IT :-)
[EDIT]
* DISCLAIMER: "The Real World" refers to a business environment. Experiences and attitudes in The Real World may differ from those experienced in Real Life.

@Uncharted
Congrats mate :-)
I barely remember my last exam. I do remember the "Could everybody stop writing now, please?" at the end, uttered as it was by a rotund lady invigilator in an unusually cheerful, almost melodious voice. It really was over when the fat lady sang...

Invigilators are not allowed to exceed a certain level of attractiveness in case it distracts the examinees.

The results were posted this morning.
I think there has been a mistake, it says I got a First :-o.
I honestly thought I did crap in the last 2 exams. I was expecting to struggle to get a 2:1.
I'm still in a state of shock.
