Title: FA: Pegasos II full system - NOW AVAILABLE INTERNATIONALLY
Post by: motorollin on May 20, 2007, 03:06:36 PM
Since my A4000 fulfills all of my Amiga needs, and I could do with the cash, my Pegasos II system is up for auction. Please see the link in my signature if you want to bid.

Thanks in advance.

Schocker! How long have you actually had your Peg? I thought you were happy with it?

I am very happy with my Peg. It's a great little system. But I realised that I spent ages getting Ambient to look like Workbench on my A4000 and then getting UAE to work. There was very little I did with the machine which I couldn't do with my A4000, and I haven't even powered the machine on for weeks. So I decided to let it go to someone who will make use of it and use the money for something else (new tattoo being planned :-D)

The one I'm planning is quite big so will be expensive. Anyway, stop chatting and start bidding :-P

Don't worry, I'm sure there are lots of people who would like a PegII, especially now they are not made any more.

Interesting. I might want to buy it of the price won't go too high

1. What are the shipping costs to The Netherlands?
2. What kind of tattoo are you getting? (picture?)

1. I will get a quote as soon as I can for the Netherlands. Watch this thread.

2. I'm getting a large vine of ivy tattooed on to my left upper arm going up on to my shoulder.

Sadly International shipping is prohibitively expensive so this is now only available in the UK.

Sorry for any disappointment.

perhaps if someone wanted only the mobo/vga/hd u could ship it to Europe?

The case I bought for the system was purchased especially for selling the Pegasos as my G325 case is not in a condition to sell. So I don't want to remove the parts from the case or I would have wasted the case.

If the buyer wants to pay for shipping, even if it will cost 100 GBP, it shouldn't be a problem, should it?

True: you must be a nutcase to pay that much for shipping, but hey! People like us who pay huge amounts of money for 10 year old PPC cards are nuts anyway I think

Ok, well if somebody HERE wants me to remove the contents from the case to save on shipping costs then go ahead and bid, but since the case was purchased specifically for the purpose of selling the machine I can't offer any discount if you choose not to have me send you the case. I think that's fair :-)

The problem is that I don't know how high the shipping will go. It was roughly £100 for it to be insured up to £150. Since I expect it to sell for considerably more than that, the shipping is likely to cost a lot more than £100. Until I know the final value I can't give a precise shipping quote, and I am trying to avoid the buyer being shocked by the price and refusing to pay.

@keropi
I know you didn't imply a discount. But some buyers might think that if I remove the case then they will get the cost of the case discounted.

What kind of case is that?  Looks pretty clean and simple.

It's a nice compact Micro-ATX case with a 300W PSU inside. Here's a bigger picture:

Only 5 hours to go!!!

Ok, here`s a lame question :-

I`ve heard of Pegasos & Morhos, but even with some googling, can`t tell if I can run my Amiga apps on it. Can you explain?

I might be interested if so

You should be able to run pre-OS4 Amiga apps that don't hit the hardware. For hardware-hitting software (such as games) there is a version of UAE available for MorphOS.

...and some (http://amigazeux.net/os4emu/comp.php) of the OS4 apps with OS4Emu (http://os4emu.amigazeux.net/).
