Hello,
I'm about to pick up a C64.
And on the QXL.no pages there is a Commodore 1581 3.5" floppydrive for sale...
Is it possible to read and write to these disks in an amiga?
I have a lot of older C64 games to my emulator (if the games are the same as the once on the C64 though, and not written specific to the emulator).
It would be kinda cool to write them to a disk and play them in the C64... :-)

There is a DOS driver on Aminet that will directly read a 1581 disk! You can read/write to it. Works fine.

Where? I usually follow QXL quite closely, but I must've missed that one (don't worry, I'm not going to outbid you)
Anyway, the Amiga has a excellent disk controller making it capable of reading.. well.. almost anything. As another poster states, there are 1581 dosdrivers available.
Enjoy your hacking! I'll be ordering a MMC64 for my C64 next week :-)

oops.... my mistake...
its not a 1581 but it is a complete (http://my.qxl.no/accdb/viewItem.asp?IDI=507999014) package. of computer and utilities...
:-)
Edit:
This (http://cgi.ebay.com/Commodore-64-128-1581-3-5-disk-drive-near-mint-1541_W0QQitemZ110126296457QQihZ001QQcategoryZ74945QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) was the one I was bidding on... But :-( it is a bit over my current finances...
Hope one will show up later...
