Hi All
I really need help or a guide for installing a 3.5 inch HD to the A600. I already have the adapter for 2.5 to 3.5, Im not sure how to hook the power up needed for a 3.5 inch drive. The drive itself is quite small in size and fits fine in the machine. Any help appreciated

You will need Y adapter, which takes power from Floppy power connector.
But honestly, forget 3.5 drive and buy CF card for your A600!

Yep! I grabbed power from the floppy drive too when I put a 3.5" HDD in an A1200 Desktop :-)

Ok, so i think i've wired up the molex incorrectly. The a600 floopy power has a red, 2 blacks and a brown wire, the had molex is ur standard red black black yellow. The drive isnt detected at all, the mobo is the version 3.375 or something close. hmmmmmmm so if i use hdtools through winuae, maybe a can get this too life. Ive mad an external bracket for the drive and it looks pretty good.

For no obvious reason the red wire on the Commodore floppy cable is for +12V and the brown is for +5V. Test each item individually to make sure you haven't fried anything.

Excellent, i thought as much and have wired it up correctly. I'm making the amiga format dive now on the PC and i'll see how it go's.
