Title: SoundCards in A1200 case?
Post by: tokyoracer on May 16, 2007, 12:43:16 PM
Hi again people.

Im intrested to find out what sound cards fit into a 1200 case and how many are there. I know of Prelude but im unsure were it plugs in and not only this, my end port is taken up by a SCSI plug too. Could anyone shed some light on this subject for me please? :-)

You could have a look around and find a few DIY projects too. They tend to be external mostly (like "project XG" from CUAmiga magazine)but if you have to go for internal and/or don't whant to DIY it I'd go for the Delfina, at least Individual Computers are still developing Amiga products.

Having said that I like the Melody and it is still supported, It's just kind of hard to find one for sale. Maybe that's just a UK thing.  :boohoo:

Thanks for the info guys. Didn't know of any external sound cards. :-)

P.s. @ Tripitaka, Nice to see some people into Amiga stuff near me. My Dad actually lives in Lowestoft (Kirkley). :-D

There is a picture off my amiga1200 in it's original case with a
internal cdrom and a delfina.
There also is a 4xeide splitter and offcourse the harddisk.
Fits ok but can't get the delfina going with or without a turbocard.
Only time I got this going was with a amiga4000 with a 060 processor and connected to a
isdn clockport.
So delfina....nice hardware available but no software to use it with.
