Title: Doomy finally delivered on my A3000 parts...
Post by: on May 16, 2007, 01:36:04 AM
Can you believe this! I just received a note in my mailbox yesterday about a package received at the post office for me.

I wasn't expecting anything so this was a surprise. Just went there a few minutes ago to pick it up and what do you know... here are the Amiga 3000 casing parts I ordered more than 2 months ago from our dear Retrogeek001/Doommaster.

It took quite a while but I finally have them.

Since we all took our turn roasting him for his "outstanding" customer service, I tought it was just fair to mention that.

im not defending doomy, but if you paid for air postage from us to europe still would take 1-2 weeks maybe more.  Surface mail for sure 7 -8 weeks.  depends what you paid for.  either way email communication is critical.

2 months indeed is way too long. Sure, he may not be able to go to the post office every day to send out goods, at least it should be possible once a week. And then it should arrive at max. 2 weeks later.

I myself always send out goods on saturdays, since I can't make it to the post office on weekdays, but it will never take more than a week for me to post things. A recent shipment to Japan took less than 2 weeks.

So, what I absolutely do not understand about Doomy is that he first lets people wait, making them angry, then he starts flaming in his Ebay feedback that everything is "not true!" and that he deserves a positive, and finally still ship out the goods.

What is so difficult to send one or two E-mails, saying: "Congratulations, you won the auction! Please pay me like this: ####" and "I received the money, thank you! Shipment has been sent with tracking number ####."?

Just two E-mails and one trip to the post office. Instead he prefers to pick a fight. I don't get it. I really don't....

Well, he took 27 days to tell me the shipping cost...

That, in itself did not suffice to make me angry. He could've told me he has a problem, a handicap or even made up a story.

No, what really put my a55 on fire is that fact that he filed an NPB only 2 days after I gave him the tracking number to the Xpresspost envelope containing the money order I sent him.

Also, one day after he had received the envelope, he still hadn't removed that NPB. To top it off, he called it "just a formality"... So only 24 hours before my right to leave feedback would be removed, I was truly forced to leave him a red spot...

And yes, he is in NY state and I am in Quebec so he doesn't live far away from here.

My mistake... it seems he is in Oregon.

Otherwise, offering any other information could expose myself to retaliation on eBay.

P.S.:Once again Amiga.org flushed all the text I typed...  :madashell:

oh ok... yes i got mistaken thinking he was from greece...  2 months from US is a long time but depends when payment was received.  It can still take 1-2 weeks for envelope to cross the border.

He does have a handicap, Hes Doomy. Need I say more.
Shipping even by snail mail would take less than 2 weeks from the distance you are apart.

His inability to drive to the post office for whatever reason, and his nerve to charge for gas and his time in line is nonsense. Here in the States, both the post office and U.P.S. will pick packages up at your door for free. There's no need to leave the house. It's all arranged online in a few mouse clicks.

You know he does state 2-8 weeks for delivery.  People need to stop whining and read the entire auction before bidding.  It is amazing how some people ASSume stuff.  lol

This guy lived just 4 hours from me and reading all these flames has certainly jaded me against buying anything from him.

Rgardless of his 2-8 weeks B.S. you have the right to leave a NEG if it takes 8 weeks.  You simply say "terribly slow service, not pleasant experience" and neg the crap out him.

I would.

No that was my comment, I seem to have two accounts on here. LOL

Look I am not defending Doomy I am just saying that he does state 2-8 weeks, so if you don't like it, don't bid!  I have done business with him and he has come through for me...  Took a bit longer but I did get my stuff...
