Title: i cant get speedball 2 to work

hey im using winuae and i get get speedball2 to run.....it keeps crashing. any idea's

Use a Real Amiga !
It works on my A1000-OCS(512kbC+2mbF), kick 1.2
Try theses settings  ;-)

A bit more info would be useful.

Which version of WinUAE?

What settings are you using?

At which point does it crash?

Is it speedball that is crashing within the emulator, or is the emulator itself crashing?

What are the symptoms of the crash? (Freeze, gfx corruption, dies completely?)

Yeah, if it helps, I'd like to mention that WinUAE has gone through several stages of development where various releases would "break" functionality of certain games. There were a few releases of WinUAE that I had that simply caused Speedball 2 to either crash or, most recently, have a line of graphics jump around on the screen through the entire game.

The most recent version of WinUAE doesn't seem to have any problems with it, though. Maybe you're using an older version?

I am definitly butting in here but I am also have problems getting Speedball 2
to work.  My problem is it is asking me for passwords from the manual, anyone have a answer as how I can address this.  I also have the disk version of Oscar and it is asking me for the same thing.  I used to have the CD32 version and it did not, can someone help on this.  Sorry for jumping the tread.

Yes, that is what I said.  These games are all over the net, people down load them and play them all the time, no?  My question was, is there a work around for needing the password from the manual..  If you need the password from the manual everytime you try to play one of these games.... How do any of them get played?

Yes. Use a cracked copy which has had this protection removed. But don't ask for help here finding it as this is against the posting guidelines.

Have you tried to run it via Whdload? :-D
