Title: WinUAE problem : unreadable ADFs on a KS 3.0 or 3.1 HD-installed WB
Post by: arkpandora on May 13, 2007, 02:01:46 AM
Hi,

I am a regular Amiga user, but for the first time I am trying a few virtual Amiga on WinUAE, and I'm running into a strange problem.  I have installed a 3.1 Workbench on a hard drive.  When I run it using Kickstart 3.0 or 3.1, ADF disks are unreadable (infinite read/write errors) when they are inserted after the hard drive has booted.  However, if the ADF are booted, or if the Kicksart is 2.0 (or 1.3 on a hard drive where WB 1.3 is installed), ADF disks are fully and normally readable.  Any tip in order to solve this problem ?  I am using WinUAE version 1.3.2 because the latest versions don't work on my PC (a 500 MHz Pentium III running Windows 98) for an unknown reason.  The Kickstart images I use are not from my own Amiga (I downloaded them), but if you suspect this may be a Kickstart problem, I will dump a 3.1 from my own Amiga.

Thank you for any help !

Hi again,

Another strange problem.  When I create two hard drives, under KS 1.3 the icons on the second hard drive are not visible : the drive's window remains empty.  But the CLI sees them, as well as any other Kickstart.  They are standard icons.

I can't find any way to solve this either.
