Title: Xetec FastTrak ROM
Post by: Computolio on May 12, 2007, 09:49:15 AM
I have a Xetec FastTrak SCSI controller. The boot ROM it uses is very old; it took some tricks to get it to work in OS 2.1 and getting a CD drive to work is probably going to be a lot of trouble.

The documentation on the driver disk mentions a newer version being available with all the compatibility issues fixed. This ROM is either version 1.50 or 1.55, and the ROM I have is version 1.40.

Does anyone have a copy of the later ROM? I've uploaded mine here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YRU5RRWC). Is there a way to dump the ROM on an expansion device/card through software instead of physically pulling the ROM out and dumping it with an EPROM burner?

Just as I thought, hooking up a CD drive ended in tragedy.

Does anyone else have this controller?
