I need a pinout checking.
The CV64/3D internal connector - the one which connects to the scandouble module.
I think I've got it figured out, but I need someone to check with a multimeter (I don't have a CV64/3D card anymore).
This does not require the card to be plugged in, just checking resistance between the internal scandoubler header and certain pins on the VGA connector.
If you can spare 30 minutes to check it would be a great help. Othewise I'll have to buy a CV64/3D, do the tests, then sell it again - bah!
Looking at the CV64 the scandoubler connector header pins are numbered:
1,3,5,7,9
2,4,6,8,10
And the VGA connector pins as numbered as below: (http://www.theavguide.co.uk/AdvHTML_Upload/vgaplug3.jpg)
I believe the following pins should show no resistance:
CV --------------------- VGA -------------------- Description
2 --------------------------- 1 ---------------------- Red Signal
4 --------------------------- 2 ---------------------- Green signal
6 --------------------------- 3 ---------------------- Blue signal
1, 3, 5, 7 -------------- 5-10 ------------------ Ground
8 or 9 -------------------- 13 --------------------- Horizontal Sync
10 ------------------------- 14 ---------------------- Vertical sync
The horizontal sync is the one I am most unsure of, but I also need the others checking to make sure I have not made any mistakes.
If the CV64/3d is to hand, this could be a 10 minute job. If it means taking it out of your Amiga it could be a 30 minute job.

This is what I got.. probably should get a second opinion though, just to be sure. I assumed pin1 was with the square solder joint on both connectors.
cv2->vga1 = 75 ohms
cv4->vga2 = 75 ohms
cv6->vga3 = 75 ohms (actually a little less. about 70ohms)
cv1->vga5 & vga10 = 95 ohms
cv3->vga5 & vga10 = .6M ohms
cv5->vga5 & vga10 = .6M ohms
cv7->vga5 & vga10 = 2.1M ohms
cv8->vga8 = 3.2M ohms
cv10->vga14 = 8.9M ohms

I think we got our wires crossed (no pun intended). In my description the square pin on the scandoubler connector was pin 2 (I hadn't thought to assume this as pin 1 - doh!).
Using your assumption that the square pin on both connectors relates to pin 1, the pins with 0 ohms across should be:
CV --------------------- VGA -------------------- Description
1 --------------------------- 1 ---------------------- Red Signal
3 --------------------------- 2 ---------------------- Green signal
5 --------------------------- 3 ---------------------- Blue signal
2, 4, 6, 8 -------------- 5-10 ------------------ Ground
7 or 10 -------------------- 13 --------------------- Horizontal Sync
9 ------------------------- 14 ---------------------- Vertical sync
If you could find the time to test again I'd be most grateful.
With the horizonatal sync I'm not sure whether it will be pin 7 or pin 10 (of the scandoubler connector) which connects to pin 13 of the vga connector. It would really help to identify which pin it is.

Ok, everything is zero ohms up until we get to cv7 and cv10 to hsync: cv7->hsync = .6M ohms. cv10->hsync = 7.9M ohms. cv9->vsync = 1.0M ohm. Hope that helps

Thanks all, I'm hoping to run the CVPPC through the CV64/3D scandoubler to have a single scandoubled/RTG autoswitching output.
I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to kill any hardware before I started.
@Rkauer - why would you not ground the colour grounds? On the scandoubler connector all grounds are interconnected anyway (same on a standard VGA card) albeit to a dedicated ground line - not to the case ground line.
@Zipper - the observations I've made from the circuit layout of the scandoubler corroborate the ground assignments, I wasn't sure about the sync- and colour assignments, but from what I'v been able to see of the circuit layout of the CV64/3d graphics card on Amiga hardware database this corroborates the colour assignments.
The sync assignments I just couldn't be sure of - especially the horizontal sync.

I have told many times about the multimedia&desing monitor switcher that can be made FULLY automatic...
I have a grex/voodoo3 setup on my A4000D and all is auto, like the picassoIV I have on my other amiga!
