Sorry, this is not really Amiga, but I hope one of you guys can answer this. I want to connect my C= 128D to a C= 1084dS monitor, The pinout of the C=128D is this (http://www.pinouts.org.uk/index.php?page=Commodore_128_RGBI)
and the pinout of the C= 1084dS monitor is this (http://www.zimmers.net/cbmpics/cbm/monitors/1084s/pinout.html)
When I use a simple gender changer, the output is garbled up. What do I need, or need to do to get the rgb signal of the C= 128D displayed on my 1084dS? Thanks in advance. :-)

From this (http://project64.c64.org/hw/1084s%20Monitor.txt) link I can make up the following:
ANALOGUE/TTL -- A switch used to alternate between an RGB analog and a Digital RGBI TTL type signal.
Now where's that switch? :-?

If the monitor is the same as my oldest 1084S was, then it's on the back.
And nice link, btw. I've wanted some reference like that for a while.

On this monitor I see a switch on the left side of the rgb input of the monitor (from the viewers perspective). On mine, there is no such switch. Does this mean my 1084S isn't capable of displaying digital RGB?
-
Mine had a DIN plug for the RGB.
What is the exact labelling on all your switches and twiddly things, etc.?
-
Well, my monitor has -except for that switch- exactly the same back as the one in the picture.
-
Hm, I see 2 screws wich covers the back of the connectors, maybe if I screw open only that bit, I can make myself that switch. Sometimes such hardware is left out to reduce production costs. I've seen it more often.

i fear that the D1 model hasn't digital input.
edited- or viceversa
my "oldish" 1081 and 1084 (not S) have one separated input (DIN) for digital input.

I just put 2 1084s monitors for sale on Ebay. One has the TTL level switch on the back one doesn't. Otherwise, they are identical. The one that doesn't came with an Amiga 4000 and the one that does came with an Amiga 2500.

I opened my 1084S D2 monitor, but there aren't any traces of switches or something like that. So I guess there's no way to connect it via RGB. Alas.
(and btw, I can't yet pay internationally, so ebay would be difficult)

I wasn't really try to sell them here, I was just pointing out that some monitors have the TTL level switch and some don't. The one with the TTL inputs is already sold and shipped anyway.
