Hello everybody who reads this. I just discovered that I have an Amiga 500 with serial number 1. Can anybody tell me if this is special? The Amiga 500 has been made in Germany. Shall I do something with this? Take pictures of the motherboard with the serial number and sent it to somebody or some organisation? I'd like to know.
I started in the 80 with a C64, then an Amiga 500 later the CDTV (beautiful black box) then CD32 and now I've got a lot of systems also an A 1200.
Regards
Ate van der Meer

Welcome to A.org.
Of course you should take a picture, and please post it here.

Hello Ate,
I have one serial number "3", made in the Phillipines... (not as cool as a German one. :-))
My understanding is that there are quite a few out there with a serial number "1". However, I would hang on to it... it should be worth something someday. --edit-- Yours just may be the first one made in Germany. How cool would that be...

Like all good coders, he optimises his output. Try using the 'Verbose' switch to get more output ;-)

We could just tell him to switch to COBOL, lol.
